Why do I have to verify my account?

At Change, your security and trust come first. As a fully regulated financial institution under the Estonian Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) for crypto services and the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) for CFD trading, we verify the identity of all users. This important step ensures we meet AML/CFT regulations in the jurisdictions where we operate, so we can keep delivering our services securely and without interruption.

Verification is a straightforward, one-time process when creating your account, usually completed within minutes (up to 48 hours in rare cases requiring manual review). You’ll need to provide a valid passport, or national ID card, take a live selfie in the app. We may request additional checks if your documents expire, your personal details change, you request higher limits, or we detect unusual account activity.
