One of the things we’re very proud of at Change is our offering of commission-free Bitcoin trades. We believe everyone should be able to participate in the world’s success and our way to open that door is to make sure your first investment in Bitcoin doesn’t get eaten up by fees.
What does commission-free mean?
This means that you get exactly what we're able to supply you from the market. We add no fee on top of buy and sell orders so that you always get the absolute most Bitcoin for your buck.
The price you view in the app is the mid-market price, however, the final buy or sell price will be slightly different as the market continuously moves. When you’re entering to buy and sell, you can see the current bid and an ask price. The ask price is the "offer" price, the bid price is the highest price at which a buyer is posting an order.
Is there truly no additional cost to buying and selling Bitcoin with Change?
Yes! We are constantly working to ensure that Bitcoin remains commission-free in our app. There is a cost to other cryptocurrencies we offer; 0.5% is charged on Ethereum and all other alt-coin transactions.
Why does Change charge for other cryptos?
We hope to always offer the lowest cost on the market. In cases where we're able to do this for free, we absolutely will. Our users buy BTC more than any other cryptocurrency. Because BTC is the most volatile cryptocurrency we have decided not to charge any fees. As our costs grow and our service becomes more intuitive, we maintain our values of being cost-effective to our clients by constantly adjusting our app value with our consumer usability.
USDT and DAI can be also bought or sold commission-free.
