Polygon (MATIC) to POL Migration

1. Why is MATIC being delisted?

Polygon is transitioning its native token from MATIC to POL as part of a network upgrade aimed at streamlining scalability and governance. 

2. What are the key dates you should be aware of?

• May 19, 2025 – 12:00 UTC: MATIC will be disabled from Change.

• By May 28, 2025: POL tokens will be converted and distributed 1:1 to MATIC holders.

3. Do I need to take any action to get POL?

No. If you hold MATIC at the time of delisting, your balance will automatically be migrated to POL. No action is needed.

4. Can I sell my MATIC instead of converting it?

Yes. You may sell your MATIC before May 19, 2025, while trading is still available.

5. What happens if I don’t sell my MATIC in time?

Your MATIC will be automatically converted to POL between May 19 and May 26, 2025. Your updated balance will be visible under POL by May 28, 2025 at the latest.

6. Will I be able to access or trade MATIC during the transition?

No. Between May 19 and May 28, 2025, MATIC will not be visible in the app, and you will not be able to buy, sell, or trade it. The balance will reappear under POL once migration is complete.
