Passive account fee
The passive account fee is a monthly charge applied to accounts with no qualifying activity over a 90-day period
What counts as activity?
Your account is considered active if within the past 90 days you have done at least one of the following:
- Executed a crypto buy or sell trade of any size
- Opened or closed a CFD trade or held an open CFD position
- Received a staking reward
- Completed a deposit (fiat or crypto)
What does NOT count as activity?
The following do not prevent the fee:
- Automated crypto transactions to cover the passive fee
- Fiat or crypto withdrawals
- Receipt of non-staking rewards or bonuses
- Placement of limit or stop orders that remain unfilled
Fee timing and assessment
- Your account is reviewed on the 19th of each month
- The system checks the previous 90 days for qualifying activity
How the fee is charged
- The fee is deducted from your Available Euro - Crypto balance
- If the balance is insufficient or zero the system sells crypto assets starting with the largest market-cap asset to cover the fee
- The Stocks, Indices & Margin account is not affected by this fee
Low or zero balances
- If your total balance is below €20 but inactive you will be charged the remaining balance
- If your balance is zero no fee is deducted and your balance stays at zero
Business and linked personal accounts
- A private-person account linked to a business account will not incur the passive fee.
