For this reason we must verify our customers’ Source of Funds (SoF). This KYC step can happen at any time and it’s meant to keep Change a secure place for everyone to invest.
The Source of Funds verification aims to understand the original source through which funds that were not yours, have become legally yours. Most commonly this happens as a result of working, selling properties, receiving bank loans, or inheriting.
Below you can find a non-exhaustive list of the documents that can be used to verify your Source of Funds:
- Monthly payslips
- Tax declarations
- Bank statements
- Property sale agreements
- Loan agreements
- Last will and testaments
The documents are reviewed by our Compliance team and are kept confidential.
Depending on the documents provided, the Source of Funds might need to be re-verified after some time, so we might ask for further documents.
If you wish to proactively verify your Source of Funds please contact our support team via the app or email at email@example.com
