As a fully regulated financial institution in the EEA, we are required to comply with local and European laws regarding the origin of the funds that are being invested on our platform.
For this reason we must verify your’ Source of Funds (SoF). This step can happen at any time and it’s meant to keep Change a secure place for everyone to invest.
The Source of Funds verification aims to understand how the funds that were not yours, have become legally yours. Most commonly this happens as a result of working, selling properties, receiving bank loans, or inheriting.
Below you can find a list of the documents that can be used to verify your Source of Funds:
- Monthly payslips
- Tax declarations
- Invoices
- Bank statements
- Property sale agreements
- Loan agreements
- Last will and testaments
Remember that the above list is not exhaustive.
Your documents are reviewed by our Compliance team and are kept confidential.
Depending on the documents provided, the Source of Funds might need to be re-verified after some time, so we might ask you for some additional documents.
Should you have any further questions about the topic, please do not hesitate to contact our support team through the app or send us an email at support@changeinvest.com
