As a fully regulated financial institution in the EEA, we are required to comply with local and European laws regarding the origin of the funds being invested on our platform.
To ensure compliance, we must verify your Source of Funds (SoF). This step can occur at any time and is intended to keep Change a secure place for everyone to invest.
The Source of Funds verification helps us understand how the funds that were not originally yours have become legally yours. This typically occurs through employment, property sales, bank loans, or inheritance.
Below is a list of documents that can be used to verify your Source of Funds:
- Monthly Payslips;
- Tax Declarations;
- Invoices;
- Bank Statements;
- Property Sale Agreements;
- Loan Agreements;
- Last Wills and Testaments;
Please note that this list is not exhaustive.
Your documents are reviewed by our Compliance team and are kept confidential. Depending on the documents provided, the Source of Funds might need to be re-verified over time, so we might ask you for additional documents.
If you have any further questions, please contact our Customer Care team through the app or email us at support@changeinvest.com.
