What are Order Types?

The cryptocurrency market can be volatile, making it crucial to secure the best buy/sell prices. To help you avoid missing out on favourable prices, we offer three types of market orders:

• Market Order: This is the simplest and quickest order type available through Change. It allows you to buy or sell a particular asset instantly at the best available price.
• Limit Order: A limit order lets you set the desired price at which you'd like to buy or sell an asset. The order will be executed at that price or slightly better—lower for buys and higher for sells—depending on market movements.
• Stop Order: Similar to a limit order, a stop order is designed to prevent losses by selling an asset once it reaches a certain price, often referred to as a “stop loss.” This helps protect your invested balance during market drops, enabling you to maximize your investments when you re-enter the market.
